The diver also learns how to deal with some cases of equipment failure. Theory and practice takes about 3-4 days. Equipment and a plastic card certificate are included.

Requirements:

- 18 years old.
- Advanced Level Scuba Diver (AOWD) Certification.
- React Right Certification
- At least 10 dives logged after obtaining the 1st level certificate (OWD)
- Medical certificate

In this flexible dive program, you can choose which subjects you want to learn about, including primary assessment, first aid, CPR and primary stabilization techniques.

You can also learn about oxygen administration in diving emergencies and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) basics.

Using a combination of academic sessions and practical training scenarios, this program will give you the tools and confidence you need for emergency response. By the time you are certified, you will be able to act as an emergency first responder, provide first aid and CPR, administer oxygen and provide AED support in a medical emergency.

For OW certified divers AOWD is the next level . AOW course trains divers to plan and execute a dive based in details like personal consumption, and short duration decompression stops. Offers additional experience with 5 different dive activities.

A dive with navigation skills, a deep dive (max 30m), a boat dive , one dive with search skills and diver recovery, plus a wreck or night dive. During the dives, extra skills like buoyancy control, air sharing exercises and some more are going to be repeated. Duration is about 4-5 days. Price includes the required for the duration of training ανδ a plastic card certificate. At the end of the course diver is certified to dive up to 30m.

Conditions of participation:

- Certified as OW Diver.
- 12 years old (under parent’s supervision)
- 15 years old ( parent approval ).
- 18 years old

Possible following schools:

- React Right
- Enriched Air Nitrox
- Specialties (photography)

The course includes theory lessons, practice in shallow calm water and four dives in the sea. Duration is about 5 to 6 days.

Price includes the equipment required during training, a logbook and a plastic card certificate.

With this course the diver is certified to be able to dive at a maximum depth of 21 meters, buy equipment or dive all around the world at any diving center.

Ideal places for diving. The underwater world of the island conceals magical and distinct images. Caves, reefs, shipwrecks and sponges make up a wonderful diving destination suitable for everyone.


Diving Spots

Wreck Messerschmitt - Hersonissos

25 meters max depth.
Need advanced level certificate.

World War II German airplane Messerschmitt Bf 109. It sits upside down and the tail of the aircraft is missing from the site. You can see the machine gun coming out of the sand.

St George - Hersonissos

Named after the church close to the site, St George is one of the most popular diving spots. It has two parts, the shallow and the deep. Both parts are mainly wall dive.
Shallow part starts from 3 or 6 meters depth and goes down to 10 or 12 meters. It is suitable for all certified levels and there is also a small cave to go in, if the guide decides its safe to go.

The deep part starts from 10-12 meters and goes down to 18 meters max depth. It is suitable for all certified levels but it is not recommended for the very begginers.

Amphorae Reef - Hersonissos

Boat dive to Amphorae reef, a place suitable for all levels.
12 meter max depth.

At the start of the dive we see a lot of pieces of amphorae. An amphora is a type of container of a characteristic shape and size, descending from at least as early as the Neolithic Period. Amphorae were used in vast numbers for the transport and storage of various products, both liquid and dry, but mostly for wine. It is most often ceramic.
